I was walking back to my car from a remote beach location on the west coast of Florida about 35min after the sun had set. I noticed that there was a massive flock of pelicans that had settled in for the night on this large sandbar. I had initially wanted to get some nice super telephoto shots of them, but the longest lens I had was my 85mm portrait lens. Since I was constricted by my equipment I was forced to creatively figure out another way to shoot the birds as the light was quickly fading.
It is funny that when you are limited, you are forced to be more creative as you problem solve your way into unexpected gems. I'm glad I only had my 85mm that night!
