The magenta glow is from emission nebulae which occurs when dense interstellar gas clouds react with extremely hot stars and emit light in photons at a discreet wavelength. After days of constant cloud cover throughout Washington, it was refreshing to be out again doing what I love. Nothing puts thing into perspective more than gazing up at the starry night sky. The sky is tracked at 3 minutes, F/2.8, ISO 800 blended with a foreground exposure shot right after with tracker turned off at the same settings
