The Cold Rush

The Cold Rush is a 3-day, invite only, backcountry ski competition with some of the world's best skiers competing against each other.

This was shot as the helicopter was coming in to pick up the athletes and their gear, before taking them up to the top of the course above. Prior to everyone arriving that day, there had been an avalanche on the lower half of the mountain so the skiers had to get creative with where they were going to be skiing.
