Abandoned places to shoot have always been a white whale for me. One day a buddy (landscape photog) of mine was showing me some images of his and these awesome abandoned images started popping up, I immediately said " whoa stop.. where is that??? " We've all done it.. see a landscape picture and can visualize a model somewhere in it.. but this time the photog was right there and I could get this uber secret location :) He gave it up and we traipsed out there in the scorching Texas heat... in July. We captured some amazing images that day and this was one of my favorites. I came back from this shoot and did my edits. Submitted some to magazines and got shot down by all of them. We worked hard in that heat and I decided then it was time to start my own magazine and publish these myself. So this shoot became the focus of my first issue of Elaine Magazine. www.elainemag.com

No strobes were harmed in the making of this image.. this one.. was all natural light.
