Frozen in the sun

A lonely birch tree fully frozen by the winter conditions in Transylvania these past days - otherwise a stunning subject in any season. This is a place i keep coming back to and have many photos of, but during this last visit, the conditions were really ideal, as the sun was shining on it, while in the background another snow storm was forming.
