Though it appears atmospheric and might give you an impression the picture is taken early morning while the fog is just rising, it is in fact smoke from a wildfire.
It is estimated that Nepal has been losing some 200,000 hectares of forest area annually since 2005. Every dry season the country faces the same problem. However, the government’s preparedness when it comes to fighting forest fires is negligible. I hope the government will soon form a dedicated institutional arrangement to address this issue.
