Giggling Bokeh

Every wedding that I photograph I try to get some close up "silhouette" profile of the bride & groom. And with every wedding I find something else that I can change to make it that much better. I'm hoping by the end of the year Fstoppers will feature this type of photo!

This is a very difficult shot to get by yourself. If you have a 2nd photographer (you can either use a strobe or 2 LED lightsticks), have them stand behind your subjects and position the light until you can only see the outline of the light on their profile.

I personally like using the LED lightsticks because it is easier to match the lighting of the foreground. Enjoy!
