I spend most weekends out in the mountains (lucky me) but decided to go out to the Great Sand Hills of Saskatchewan to try some desert style photos (something I plan on doing soon in Death Valley).
Setting my expectations low I walked out and managed to still be disappointed. However we have been having horrible fires in BC (in Canada) and that made for a LOT of smoke on the horizon. As soon as the sun got within an hour of setting it started turning red. So very cool.
