A portrait of a Bahamian Ballerina, Courtney Spears. I decided to keep the makeup look natural, with just a pop of blue eyeliner which connected my subject Courtney to the colors in the background. Shooting with natural light, this portrait felt natural and intimate. I asked Courtney to think of the confidence, emotion, and dedication that she puts into ballet, as she breaks boundaries for the next generation. This was an attempt to capture the strength and elegance of a ballerina in a single portrait.
