Lions tend to be lethargic during the day. This makes photographing Lions sometimes frustrating as they tend to remain asleep for the better part of the day. I came across this Male in the evening sleeping and spent about two hours sitting, positioning and hoping he would wake up with the fading sunlight. My patience paid off as just before the sun dissipated into the horizon, he sat up oblivious of my presence.
