Mont-Saint-Michel

Getting this photo was quite an adventure. Only with the light of my headlamp I cycled about 6 kilometers by bike in complete darkness from the campsite over bumpy meadows without trails and paths to the water's edge. Also, this only worked because I researched the tides the day before. At high tide, the water level would have been up to 15 meters higher, so that the meadows would have been flooded. Luckily I also had my rubber boots with me, as the sand right at the water's edge turned out to be quicksand. What a mess. But by sunrise I finally scouted the right composition and the light was spectacular. Shortly afterwards the tide came in and I had to set off quickly so that my way back would not be cut off.
