Phare du Petit Minou

The lighthouse has stood guard over the Brest Strait since 1848. It is probably so popular as an excursion destination because of its proximity to the port city. Even at sunrise I wasn't alone for long and four other photographers were frantically setting up their tripods. Luckily I had already scouted this composition the evening before and just had to wait for the right light when I came back in the morning.
Incidentally, the second tower next to the lighthouse is an old signal tower from the French Navy. However, the technology was dismantled in 1984 and moved to Portzic. In the meantime, the tower no longer has any function and is slowly decaying.
