It was the perfect night to shoot some night landscapes. Completely still, clear and great forecast for northen lights. I went a little bit out of the city since I had a shot in mind that didn't require northen lights but they sure would help. I drove about 20 minutes, walked a bit and got set up. There was also a bright half moon that illuminated everything nicely. I stayed there for 3 hours in -7°C and enjoyed every minute of it. I had already setup surrounded by these beautifully snow covered lava hills so every direction had a solid foreground, and the aurora was slow and strong so no need to run around frantically chasing frames. The most relaxed I've ever been shooting northen lights. And what a show it was.
