Unwordly Planet Earth

The shot is captured in the end of April 2023 when I camped two nights in one of the most unreal landscapes I had seen in Estonia. It made me feel like I was in some other planet. Before the first night I was looking for different locations to shoot with the Milky Way arch. When it was dark enough I found one long fallen tree and started to work on my compositions to shoot the panorama. Earlier I recognized some purple glow in the sky just above the horizon but decided to not pay too much attention to it. Because there were no serious alerts that the northern lights could happen. I was capturing the first shots of the panorama when the sky suddenly lit up with aurora colors. First I couldn’t believe what was happening and I was wondering where the hell did that come from. The main show lasted only couple of minutes but it was enought to include it in the panorama. Before the trip I had put a lot of time learning more about night photography and finally I think the puzzle is starting to come together. It was my first time capturing the Milky Way and the northern lights together in one photo. This is definitely my best nightscape photo I have ever captured.
