Lightning

Summer heat waves on the Canadian prairies often culminate in dramatic thunderstorms and living skies, as seen over the farmland near Caronport, in south central Saskatchewan.

The spectacular lightning show from the distant storm lit up the sky continuously for nearly two hours. The keen eye may even notice one of the lightning bolts arcing over the tip of a power pole!
