A giant among the surreal landscapes of Iceland, the incredible Dettifoss is the second most powerful waterfall in Europe. At 330 feet wide and 144 feet tall, the falls roar into the canyon below at an average rate of 193 cubic metres per second.
This incredible view from the east side of the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river is also the filming location of the opening scene from the 2012 Ridley Scott science-fiction film Prometheus.
