Insect View Pasture

My agricultural photojournalism work takes me to standard farm crop fields and livestock rangeland. I'm usually looking for unique perspectives, so I took my Insta360 camera and placed it below the pasture grass to showcase a world where healthy bugs emerge to indicate healthy soil. The fun aspect of a 360-degree image offers incredible freedom in post-production. In this case, I captured a portion of the image that represented what a bug sees, twisting it to give flow to the grass. And it's a tiny self-portrait as I'm looking down and controlling image capture on my iPhone app. Recently, this image got some love as part of a juried art show in Minneapolis.
