My Photography Story
A Kodak Instamatic sunset photo ignited my love of capturing moments from age eight. My photographic eye sharpened over the decades thanks to mentors, changing technology, and a lifelong love of learning.

Ansel Adams, print film and darkroom days expanded the magic and my love of B&W photography. Subsequent decades with color slide film fueled color composition creativity. Digital imagery furthered my interest in post-production.

My fine art photography fascination grew in the 1990s thanks to juried art show image selections. I've rejuvenated this effort, achieving two images selected by international and Minnesota juried art photo exhibitions in 2023.

Gear-wise, my photography creativity expanded with Insta360 and mini-drone tools. I've been a Nikon guy for decades, and new recent loves include a Fujifilm x100t rangefinder, some Lomography tools (Diana F+ and Holga) and some vintage print cameras (Nikon F4 and Rollei 35).

Next up, process film at home, write blog posts, and focus on post-production of new and archival images from five decades of shooting.
