A strange encounter

The Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is the largest art museum in Rotterdam with numerous paintings and sculptures.
The building in Museum Park Rotterdam was constructed from 1928 to 1935 according to plans by architect Ad van der Steur. It was extended from 1963 to 1972 and from 2000 to 2003. The museum is listed as a Rijksmonument. Boijmans Van Beuningen Depot The museum's collection, previously stored in the basement of the museum, will be made accessible to the public in a walk-in art depot designed by architect Winy Maas (MVRDV office), which was built in the Museumpark from 2017 and opened on November 5, 2021.
