Den Bell (pronounced as such by Antwerp residents) is a historic building in Antwerp South, on Francis Wellesplein. The building serves as an administrative building for the city of Antwerp (OCMW and various autonomous municipal companies), but is not intended for direct services to residents or businesses. The International Bell Telephone Company was persuaded by the Belgian government to establish itself in Belgium and in 1882 a production facility was opened in Antwerp under the name Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company as the first foreign branch and headquarters of the International Bell Telephone Company.
