This portrait is profoundly moving, capturing a depth of emotion that feels almost tangible. What I love about this image is the intensity of the child’s gaze—those reflective eyes seem to hold a quiet story, drawing the viewer in. The delicate details, from the texture of the skin to the subtle gold dust on the forehead, add authenticity and richness. The soft, natural light enhances the raw beauty of the moment, making this a truly compelling portrait.

I realize you can understand very well why I photographed this boy. I was totally captivated by this intense gaze. I was very happy that the parents allowed me to photograph their son.
I would like to thank you very much, Paul, for your wonderfully friendly and very constructive comment. I enjoyed it very much. Best regards Herbert
