This 1963 Buick Riviera, after some significant "customization" by George Barris, was known as "Villa Riviera" and had a role in the 1964 beach party movie..."For Those Who Think Young" starring... James Darren, Pamela Tiffin, Paul Lynde, Tina Louise, Bob Denver, Nancy Sinatra, Robert Middleton, Ellen Burstyn and others.
Notice the dual telephone handsets mounted on the dashboard. And notice the blue glow on the back windshield... that's the glow from the TV in the backseat area. Yes, phones and a TV in 1963. But those came from George Barris and not Buick.
I always intended to buy a Riviera but some other car would get my attention... so I never owned one of these beautiful cars. 😩 Have never driven one. oh well.
