Taken on a 5 day trip in the Cascades. Besides my backpacking partner, I didn't see a single other human the entire time I spent at this remote lake. I woke up well before sunrise to see what the morning would bring. Soon the clouds were bathed in beautiful pink light, but it was the first image I took that stood out to me, before the dawn while the stars were still visible. There's something magical about the stillness of the very early morning, when the world is still asleep.
