One of the most interesting bridges for me is "De Brug" van Vroenhoven. It's not just a bridge over the Albert Canal, but also a monument, memorial, museum/experience centre, restaurant and event venue all in one. With a total length of 195 metres, it connects the towns of Riemst/Vroenhoven and Wolder+Daalhof/Maastricht. This is where the Second World War began for Belgium. In May 1940, the Germans marched over the previous bridge at the same spot.Address: Maastrichtersteenweg 212, 3770 Riemst

Herbert, any wonderful image 99.8% at least, the reflection of the red umbrella (?) or is the intentional ?
Thank you very much, Paul, for your appreciation. As I wrote about the previous picture, it had rained shortly before I took it. The umbrella is actually still slightly reflected in the puddle. Greetings Herbert
Yes, I understand that all, you don't find that viewers that don't know or understand that will find that bit of red a distraction?
I believe that attentive viewers know how to interpret this little extra red "dot" correctly.
If I were the viewer, I would know how to interpret it correctly based on various other details in the picture.
I don't need any special instructions for that. Every viewer has the right to decide for themselves whether the additional red dot bothers them or not.
The correct perception of "art" is in the eye of the beholder.
Thank you very much, Paul, for taking such a close look at my picture.
I am also learning from it.
Best regards, Herbert
Wow...Amazing.
Sky could be a little warm matching/complementing the image colour?
Thank you very much, Vijay, for your kind comment and constructive criticism. I think I overshot the mark a little in my post-processing of the picture. I will make some changes to the original. Many thanks for the tip. Regards Herbert
Also, to clean the floor in already a perfect frame is always a personal choice and photography philosophy .
Happy clicking !!
I like the surroundings in my pictures to be clean. Cigarette butts and paper rubbish don't stand a chance with me. But I wouldn't change anything in a street photo. Greetings Herbert
amazing shot- one day i will go there because of your picture :)
greetings from saudi arabia
Thank you very much, dear Hanaa, for your very nice comment. I'm delighted that you want to go there especially to photograph this motif because of my picture. I'm sure it will be a stunningly good picture. You are a fantastic photographer. Best regards, Herbert
