Ludwig-Erhard-House in Berlin

The Ludwig-Erhard-Haus (LEH for short) is located in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin in Fasanenstraße, not far from Zoologischer Garten station and therefore in City West. The LEH was designed between 1994 and 1997 by the British team of architects Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners. The construction was carried out by a consortium of Friedrich Krupp AG and Max Bögl. The building was inaugurated on September 21, 1998. The towering steel arches, the paw-like supports and the “scaly” façade are intended by the team of architects to be reminiscent of an armadillo. The building is named after Ludwig Erhard, who is regarded as the “father” of the social market economy and the economic miracle after the Second World War, was the first Minister of Economics of the Federal Republic of Germany and later Federal Chancellor.

Wow, I love the way you are drawn into the image. Fantastic image Herbert. I'd like to know what you do in post processing to create your distinctive style, or is mainly in the camera work?

If I were to say what I do to edit my pictures the way I do, I would have to write a small treatise. I can only say this much: I take several shots of a subject and the one that best captures the details is the one I edit. I develop my image in Photoshop Bridge and then further in PS/CC. Most of the images get a special treatment with the Nikfilter Collection, e.g. with the filters: Viveza, Color Efex, Outputsharpener and Silver Efex.
Thank you very much, Edwin, for your kind comment and your interest in my pictures. Yours sincerely, Herbert

Thanks Herbert, understood. I really like your style, so what ever you are doing, keep it up.
