Mattamuskeet and the Stars

It was an early rise and over a 2 hour road trip to arrive before blue hour to get this wide shot of the landscape and stars. This beautiful tree line resides in rural Hyde County, North Carolina. The lake is on the inside of the famous OBX, Outer Banks of NC. Lake Mattamuskeet is the largest natural lake in the state and has some unique agricultural history. This beautiful intercoastal countryside is home to small fishing communities that seem to be untouched by time. Not the place for most, but a gem to those who appreciate it.
