Pettigrew State Park lies on Phelps Lake in North Eastern North Carolina. Phelps Lake is part of the Pocosin Lakes which host a rich habitat for wildlife and landscapes. On this solo camping trip to Pettigrew, I focused on landscape photography rather than wildlife and it paid off well for me. The sunrises and sunsets were phenomenal.
