Unicorn Sunrise

What a light show! It's rare but sometimes the stars do align. The right atmosphere, upper layer of clouds and no wind is a combination that is almost unseen at this location. This is Lake Mattamuskeet located in North Carolina's costal region. I tend to watch detailed forecast if I have a possible day coming up for a road trip. This was a forecast I couldn't pass up. It's always a gamble but even I get lucky on rare occasions. On this particular morning the changing sky has turned into a unique collection that almost looks unreal. This is why I keep doing it.
