fairly simple lighting setup with one beauty dish above angled down and one reflector bouncing light up from underneath. the key to this shot is shadows/positioning of elements to make it believable. to make sure my hands were properly separated and that they appeared to be holding something the width of my face, i used a scull mask i have, which also added the needed string that draped over my arm to the shot.
next i tried to get my face in the exact relative position that i was holding the mask in so that the light would fall properly across it.
after i had the two shots i needed, i brought them into photoshop and cutout the face from the one as the mask and blended it with the other shot. to further give the air of believability, i wade sure to remove the opening of the mouth and filled it with a sample of my exposed shirt behind it.
that is about it, really not that complicated. the key with this and any composite is always the initial shots angles/shadows because they will make or break the shot if they are off. as always if you have any questions feel free to ask
