7 New Adobe Photoshop Features Explained

Adobe Photoshop has been moving quickly in recent months, rolling out some of the most impactful features the software has ever seen. In this video, learn about each new feature, what they do, and how to use them properly.

I have been using Adobe Photoshop for 20 years and it still surprises me regularly. However, it did feel for a while as if there wasn't much innovating going on. I'm sure that wasn't the case, but every update seemed to contain almost imperceptible tweaks and niche tools that I'd never have a use for. Then, AI came along and combined with some of the tools Adobe had in their pipeline to create some staggeringly impactful updates.

The Generative Fill and Generative Expand AI features have really grabbed the headlines, and rightly so. Nevertheless, I believe the most underrated addition we've seen of late is the Lens Blur function. By identifying the foreground, midground, background, and any subjects, the new Lens Blur tool in Camera Raw Filter enables you to add realistic lens blur in post; it is essentially Portrait mode for photographs and with more control over the results.

What is the best new feature you've seen in Adobe Photoshop lately?

What a time to be alive

Kinda bummed about the generative fill credits. Many times they get something completely wrong and it sucks to think that eats up a credit.

I always follow you and learn more from your tutorial, thanks.
