The Magic of Photography

Whether you are a professional or hobbyist photographer, it can be easy to get frustrated by a variety of things, whether creative blocks, annoying clients, online vitriol, or something else. Before you let that discourage you from picking up your camera, though, take some time to watch this excellent video that will remind you of the magic of photography.

No doubt, it is easy to be discouraged by photography; it is something almost all of us will experience at one time or another. When that happens, I find it best to return to the most basic experience of photography: taking a camera out with no objective in mind and without loads of equipment, simply to explore and enjoy viewing the world in a way that is not possible with the naked eye. After all, it is that magical moment when a shot comes together that got us all hooked on photography in the first place; it was all the complications that came afterward that caused us frustration.
