Shot my first wedding when I was only ten years old (with my father's help). Been hooked ever since then. Over 25 years later I'm still fascinated with photography and how quickly it evolves with the changing technology.

Relocated from Minnesota to Orlando back in 2006. I have a wonderful family of four. Concerts are my specialty. I live for concerts and have photographed almost 500 bands in the past four years.

Concert photography can be extremely challenging due to not knowing what the lighting will be like and 99% of the time I am not allowed to use a flash of any kind. It's like a lottery and not knowing what you are going to end up with or what the results will be until the moment the lights (or lack of lights) hit the stage. We only get three songs to hopefully get a "perfect" shot.

I have always felt that concert photography is misunderstood by most other pro photogs that normally get to light up their subjects. Tell a photog to shoot a wedding with no lighting and watch their reaction and they will say it's almost impossible.
