DJI's latest drone, the Mini SE, is a bit strange, essentially taking some of the tech from the original Mavic Mini and putting it into the body of the Mini 2. Nonetheless, at $299, the Mini SE is highly affordable and remarkably portable, making it a potentially great option for a casual user or anyone who wants a drone they can drop in their bag for occasional photos and video without adding a ton of heft. This great first look video takes a look at the Mini SE and the kind of performance you can expect from it.
Coming to you from Billy Kyle, this great first look video takes a look at the new DJI Mini SE drone. Fitting in the palm of the hand and weighing only 249 g (8.8 oz), the Mini SE is the kind of drone you can drop in your bag and forget about. Nonetheless, it comes with a range of useful features, including:
- Maximum speed: 29 mph
- Maximum wind resistance: 23.5 mph
- Maximum flight time: 30 minutes
- 3-axis stabilized gimbal
- 2.7K and 12-megapixel camera
- QuickShot Modes: Dronie, Rocket, Circle, and Helix
- CineSmooth Mode
- Vison sensor
- 360° propeller guard
I am particularly impressed by the wind resistance DJI managed to get out of such a small and light drone. Check out the video above for Kyle's thoughts on the Mini SE.
No Ocusync is a big downside... range and signal stability weren't good with the Mini 1.
The Mini 2 improved that a lot!
Sorry to repeat, but... absolutely hate it when an "article" is written to just say GO WATCH A VIDEO.
I'd love this for BTS footage and such.
