How Good Is the Canon RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens?

Canon has produced some remarkably impressive RF mount lenses, and their latest, the RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS USM, is arguably the most stunning yet. With incredibly versatile capabilities and jaw-dropping image quality, it is the type of lens that makes people like sports and wildlife photographers drool. This great video review takes a look at the new lens and the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in use.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this fantastic video review takes a first look at the Canon RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens. A replacement for the popular EF 300mm f/2.8L II prime lens, the 100-300mm f/2.8 builds on the legacy of the well-respected EF lens and turns it into a far more versatile zoom lens. I have owned the Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports lens for several years now and have always been wowed by the flexibility of having such a long zoom lens with an f/2.8 aperture, but it is clear that the Canon lens is meant to produce completely uncompromising performance. Certainly, it is not cheap, but in fairness to Canon, it is just a little but pricier than the launch price of the 300mm f/2.8L II. I suspect it will be quite a popular option among professionals. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Frost.
