A Look at the Affordable and Versatile Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens

Tamron really hit it out of the park with the 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD, which offered an incredible balance between performance, image quality, portability, and, perhaps most importantly of all, price. The second iteration of the lens is now available, and it builds on the original with a range of improvements. This excellent video review takes a look at the new version and the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in practice.

Coming to you from Julia Trotti, this awesome video review takes a look at the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 lens. The original version of this lens was a runaway hit for Tamron, as it made smart compromises to produce an alternative to many traditional 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses at a price that was vastly more affordable, making it the bread and butter lens of choice for everything from events and weddings to lifestyle photography. While you might miss the extra bit at the wide end, at its price, you can complement it with the 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD or 70-180mm f/2.8 Di III VXD for a total price that is about the same as a single first-party 24-70mm f/2.8, making it quite the intriguing option. Check out the video above for Trotti's full thoughts on the lens.
