Fujifilm's GFX 100 was one of the most groundbreaking cameras of recent times, offering a medium format sensor, top-level image quality, loads of resolution, and a wide variety of advanced modern features, all in a package that significantly undercut traditional medium format prices. The GFX 100S takes all the capabilities of the GFX 100 and cuts its physical size and price almost in half. This great video review takes a look at the camera and its image quality and performance in real-world usage.
Coming to you from The Hybrid Shooter, this excellent video review takes a look at the Fujifilm GFX 100S medium format mirrorless camera. The GFX 100S takes the features of the GFX 100 (102-megapixel medium format sensor, advanced autofocus system, decent burst rate, and more), removes the built-in vertical grip (making the body significantly smaller), and drops the price from $9,999 to $5,999, putting it in the same realm as high-end full frame cameras. Altogether, this makes it a very viable alternative for portrait and landscape photographers looking for the highest level of image quality in a body that can handle a wide range of shooting scenarios. Check out the video above for the full rundown on the camera.
I'm sold on the benefits of the camera, but would appreciate some thoughts on the lenses. The roadmap overall doesn't wow me, and in particular the lenses do not appear to be very fast. Is that a problem in the real world compared with eg a Canon R5 and some of their fast glass?
I'm probably going to buy it but i really preferred the feel of the Hassy, Pentax, and other traditional MF body feel.
Hi there, actually your right about Pentax...
This is a cool camera. I’ve decided to get one...
