A Review of the Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 Lens

In the past few years, in addition to a lot of ultra-premium lenses, there has been a second movement toward more affordable lenses that make certain compromises to provide good performance and image quality without breaking the bank. For Nikon mirrorless users, one such option is the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens, and this excellent video review takes a look at the sort of image quality and performance you can expect from it in practice.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost,  this great video review takes a look at the new Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. As Frost discusses, despite the similarities between this lens and the popular Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, there are some differences in image quality and things like minimum focus distance. Though tens sits around half the price of the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, it still retains that f/2.8 aperture that makes standard zoom lenses so useful, though some people will certainly miss out on having that 24mm focal length at the wide end. That being said, if you do not need that wider focal length, such a lens can be a smart compromise that is easier on the wallet. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts on the lens.
