As Frost discusses, despite the similarities between this lens and the popular Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, there are some differences in image quality and things like minimum focus distance. Though tens sits around half the price of the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, it still retains that f/2.8 aperture that makes standard zoom lenses so useful, though some people will certainly miss out on having that 24mm focal length at the wide end.
