A Review of the Samyang AF 75mm f/1.8 Lens for Fujifilm X Series Cameras

Samyang, well known for many years for creating fantastically sharp and affordable manual focus lenses, has moved into creating autofocus options as well in recent years. Despite the addition of autofocus, their lenses remain competitively priced, which is what makes the AF 75mm f/1.8 for Fujifilm X Series mirrorless cameras so intriguing. This great video review takes a look at the lens and the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in practice.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this excellent video review takes a look at the Samyang AF 75mm f/1.8 lens for Fujifilm X Series mirrorless cameras. At just 2.7 inches (6.9 cm) long and 9 oz (257 g) in weight, the AF 75mm f/1.8 is remarkably portable, making it an excellent partner with Fujifilm's compact cameras. In addition to that small design, it comes with two HR (high-refractive) and three ED (extra-low dispersion) elements for improved contrast and sharpness, as well as advanced coating technology for deep contrast even in difficult lighting. Finally, it comes with nine rounded aperture blades for especially bokeh. Of course, with the addition of autofocus, the Samyang moves into a price bracket that gives it more competition, particularly from the likes of Viltrox, but it is still worth a look. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts on the lens.
