Shooting With the Canon EOS R5 and RF 50mm f/1.2L

The Canon EOS R5 and RF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens are two of the company's best offerings, offering top-notch image quality, high resolution, and performance even with an extreme aperture, making them an especially exciting option for portrait shooters. This excellent video shows the kind of performance and image quality you can get from the combination.

Coming to you from Julia Trotti, this great video shows the experience and results of a portrait shoot with the Canon EOS R5 and RF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens. The original EF 50mm f/1.2L was a well-regarded lens, though it was not without flaws, particularly wide-open sharpness and autofocus accuracy. On the other hand, the RF version turned quite a lot of heads on its release, with remarkable image quality even at f/1.2 and top-notch autofocus performance. And of course, when paired with the autofocus performance of the EOS R5 and its 45-megapixel sensor, it looks like a potentially fantastic option for portraitists, wedding photographers, event shooters, or anyone else who needs or wants this kind of top-level performance. I have been quite impressed with my EOS R5 so far and look forward to using more RF lenses. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

Great pictures, great lens, great photographer...

How come?

I don’t… please explain.

I'm wondering if you're a current or a former crack user?

I give up :)
