AI Has Made Real Estate Videography Obsolete

New AI software can now create incredibly accurate video from still images, and the Real Estate video market is about to change forever.

For years, real estate video has followed the same formula. You show up with a camera, maybe a gimbal, maybe a drone, and you create a polished walkthrough of the property. You glide through the front door, pan across the kitchen, show off the pool, and end with a dramatic exterior shot. It has worked because there was no better option. This is now outdated.

Now, with just a few still images of a house, Fotello can create moving video clips that look like camera moves. They can push into a room, pan across a space, create smooth transitions, add music, and package the whole thing into something that feels like a real estate video.

Photos will always look better than video because we can easily edit photos. We can reveal a view out a blown out window or we can remove an item from a cluttered shelf. If we can then create videos from these polished photos, we will have world class looking video footage, automatically.

This technology has existed for a while now but the results were anything but reliable. The AI would have a tendency fabricate details of a property. In real estate, accuracy matters. You cannot just invent windows, stretch rooms, or add a waterfront view. A beautiful AI video that lies about the home is not a marketing asset. It is a liability.

I only had a few minutes to test this new video from photos feature but in my tests the results were incredible. No, it's not the highest resolution, but for Real Estate, it's good enough, and most importantly, everything in the videos were accurate.

Stay tuned because I'm going to create a much more detailed video about this new technology in the coming weeks.
