Going through a breakup can be hard. Especially when your significant other leaves you nothing but the dog. That’s exactly what happened to Rafael Mantesso. On his 30th birthday, his wife walked out leaving him with nothing else besides their bull terrier, Jimmy, whom the wife named after her favorite shoe designer, Jimmy Choo.
With nothing but the dog and an empty all-white apartment, Rafael found inspiration in the blank walls. When Jimmy would lay on the floor next to one, Rafael grabbed a marker and started drawing Jimmy into new scenes. Rafael would take photos of the illustrations and they soon caught on.
The playful series of tongue-in-cheek illustrations features Jimmy dreaming of shoes, relaxing on a sofa with a martini by his side, or turning up the music as a DJ. The images have gone viral and Rafael now enjoys over 300,000 followers on Instagram.
The success of Jimmy has even inspired a book of the best pictures of the pooch set to come out in October. If you needed any more proof that a dog is man’s best friend, here it is. Check out the rest of the playful series below.

So rad and creative! Although a bit misleading. Those are digital doodles imposed afterwards on photos of great poses he managed to get his dog in. Happy to see BTS and be proven wrong, either way, awesome series.
Rafael, you are much better off with the dog, but be careful...your ex may want a stake in your claim to fame.

This isn't the first time I've seen this posted and I'm sure it won't be the last but what I don't understand is how no one else can see that this can't have possibly been done against a white wall? He clearly uses seamless paper in most if not all of these shots. Creative shots? Yes (although the idea has been used before). Well executed? Certainly? A just slightly unbelievable backstory? Um, sorry but yes to that too. I guess I am a cynic.
