Here's What's in the Sky This Month

The night sky is a surprisingly active place, and it helps to know what is on deck for the next few weeks. If you want to enjoy a nice summer night or two with your camera, check out this fantastic video tutorial that discusses some of the most exciting astrophotography opportunities coming up in July and offers some useful for getting the most from your images.

Coming to you from Alyn Wallace, this helpful video tutorial discusses some of the most exciting astronomical events on deck for July 2023, including opportunities to photography the Milky Way, a planetary conjunction, and multiple meteor showers! As you will also see, Wallace discusses the impact of twilight on sky visibility at different latitudes, noctilucent clouds, and the position of night sky objects, along with the best times for shooting different phenomena. Astrophotography can be a tremendously interesting and rewarding pursuit, even just for fun, and if you have not tried it before, July will be a great month to stay up late for a night and see what you can accomplish, especially since we are in peak summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Wallace.
