First Impressions of the GoPro Hero 13 With One Major Criticism

For many of us photographers, GoPro holds a special place in the history of the craft as it truly offered a new perspective. Now, the 13th Hero model is upon us, but is it worth the upgrade?

In the past few decades, photography has changed more profoundly than almost any other 20-year period. The major shift that most people focus on is the availability of cameras, now perched on the back of a device that damn near everyone has and has with them at all times.

But to me, the most interesting discussion is that of perspective. With the advent of action cameras like GoPro's and drones like DJI's, we've been given access to angles and perspectives previously difficult or impossible to achieve. It's fair to say we're all pretty used to it now, but these two innovations have changed the game for the average photographer.

What isn't novel or innovative, however, is the question GoPro users must now ask: should I upgrade to the GoPro Hero 13? Well, that is going to have to be your decision, but Peter Lindgren is here to assist, though he brings with him one major criticism involving the battery. But what do you think?
