Joey L Shoots Eric Nally From Foxy Shazam

Joey L has always been a photographer that I've looked up too, he's young, he's very good at what he does and he works with some of the best people in the industry. So, thats why I was excited to see a new video tutorial from his DVD Lara Jade VS Joey L. In this video, Joey shoots the lead singer of the band Foxy Shazam on a rooftop in Brooklyn and walks you through the entire process of shooting it.

If you haven't seen any of Joey's other tutorial videos, you should definitely check them out, they're very informative and they are more than worth the purchase price in inspiration alone.

There's some great information in here so it's definitely worth checking out. Let us know what you think in the comments!

This whole DVD is definitely worth the price. I really enjoyed it.

This has been out for over a month and the DVD has been out for almost a year. #newcontentplease

Feel free to share mate.

I guess I should be more specific, more tailored content. I'd rather a blog that posts great content three times a day than one that posts mediocre content 10 times a day. Plugs up the feed.

I haven't seen the DVD, so, I enjoyed this.

Having seen both, I think Melissa Rodwell's DVD is much better just based on the experience factor... She offers much more Knowledge than Lara as a fashion photographer.

Yeah, the Rodwell DVD is absolutely brilliant.

It's a good DVD but I found Lara Jade quite irritating throughout. Particularly the way every single shoot and lighting situation "turned out just right", as if every single environment she encountered conveniently matched exactly the brief she'd planned for the day.

There was also a part where she snootily tells of a story where a couple on the beach got a bit irritated when she approached them and asked for their chairs for her photoshoot. She insinuated the reason why the female of the couple got annoyed was because "attractive models" wanted to use them. What a stupid, arrogant, fatuous fucking moron.

DVD would've been twice as good if Lara Jade had been completely removed, actually.

In terms of inspiration, the JoeyL vs Lara DVD is fairly good. If you're more of a beginner with lighting, like I am, David Hobby's DVD is so much better.
