Stand Out Photo Workshops Are Coming - Learn From Industry Leaders

If you hadn't heard of it before, the Stand Out! Photographic Forums is a huge photography industry event (taking place in New York City, Toronto, and Los Angeles) loaded with affordable workshops taught by some of the biggest and most successful names in the industry. You can learn directly from legends like Mark Seliger, Pratik Naik, and Michael Muller. Phase One was even nice enough to ask me to come and teach classes on digital teching and shoot pre-production. You should read below to learn more about all of the classes and offerings.

The Stand Out! Photographic Forums’ mission is to bring the photographic community together to inform, inspire and excite. Hear from innovative industry creatives and icons. Explore new ideas to differentiate yourself and your business. The Stand Out! event will also bring leading photographic brands under one roof to demonstrate their products to you in an intimate and meaningful manner. Put a face to the brand, meet some of the most knowledgeable resources in the industry. This event is ideal for professional photographers, photo assistants, advanced students or any imaging professional that would like to learn about the latest cutting-edge products and techniques being used in the professional digital image capture market in a hands-on and seminar based forum.

I want to add that Mark Seliger is an absolute idol of mine. Some of my favorite Rolling Stone and Time Magazine covers ever were shot by him. I sort of can't believe I'll have a chance to share the stage with him. He will be doing a 30 year career retrospective at the event and I cannot wait to hear his stories.

Also, Michael Muller?! This guy has shot just about every modern Marvel movie poster such as "Ant Man," "The Avengers," and "Guardians of the Galaxy." Talk about a commercial photography and compositing genius! You can take this class from him: “Tips from Michael to Enhance Your Photographic Style.”

Steve Giralt, my old buddy from Rochester Institute of Technology and product/food photography master will be teaching “Creative Problem Solving and Commercial Food Photography.”

Naik will teach about "Imagination and Perfection” and Sutton will talk to you guys about "Investing in your Work."

On top of what I mentioned above, there will be classes on how to tap in to your creative core, how to advance your photo career, and how to take your techniques to the next level. There will also be cool vendors there such as Tether Tools, Phase One, Profoto, Epson, and Eizo to let you play with plenty of high-tech photography toys.
