Fstoppers Contest: Win A Free Pass To Gulf Photo Plus London 2013

Fstoppers Contest: Win A Free Pass To Gulf Photo Plus London 2013

One of the most exciting things about our industry is being able to meet other talented photographers and talk shop. Lee and I recently attended Gulf Photo Plus 2013 out in Dubai, and we were able to meet photographers from literally all over the world. GPP has decided to take their workshop to London, and they are bringing four of their most sought after instructors with them. On September 28th and 29th, Joe McNally, David Hobby, Gregory Heisler, and Zach Arias will check their bags for the United Kingdom....and one lucky reader of Fstoppers could head out there with them. Full details below.

The kind folks over at Gulf Photo Plus have teamed up with Fstoppers once again to offer one lucky reader a free weekend pass to the entire PopUP GPP London workshop. If you don't remember, a few months ago we sent a luck winner all the way to Dubai for a full 8 days of workshops. This time you will have to make it to London but if you are the winner, you can attend the entire 2 day event for free (a $449 value). This means you get to pick the workshops you want to hang out in or you can even stop by all of them and take in the whole experience.

For all the details about where everything is happening and the class schedule, head over to the Gulf Photo Plus London page below.

Even if you do not win, if you are in Europe or can afford to fly to London, it would be worth attending just to pick the minds of these four great photographers. Hearing Gregory Heisler's hilarious photography stories in Dubai will always be a memory I will never forget.

I have perhaps the most to learn, so would benefit the most.

I just started my photo business and can use all the help I can get

lets make this easy, i want to go.

You've already given us four very big reasons to attend. I don't ever want to stop learning and growing.

Simply, I want the experience of being able to learn more and see somewhere new, that is what photography is, seeing something new and from a different perspective.

2 days of inspiration, learning and fun? Where do I sign up?

Easy, I haven't bought a ticket and I want to go...

I feel it's my civic duty to prove that even the most photographically stunted people, such as myself, can actually learn something when given the proper teachers.

I want to win because as I am young of age and kinda new to photography, I want to experience new things, learn new techniques, meet new people that have the same interests as me and also share my story so far! So fingers crossed! :)

Because i want to learn, simple as that :-)

I believe Gulf Photo Plus London would be an unbelieveable experience for me because I am an up and coming senior and Fstoppers has helped me immensely with my schooling, and taught me great amounts about starting my freelance work.

Because most of my photos are of state and federal politicians, speaking at events that dictate policy for the entire nation, and GPP will finally help me make these chuckleheads look good.

Nothing beats getting the information directly from the 4 aces of photography

I've once seen Joe McNally in person, a great experience. So that's already reason enough. Add the other photography 'heroes' and GPP London is the place to be!

Because going to London is my dream and photography is my passion.

My goal would then be to contribute this learning to my friends in photography, and to give my wedding clients more unique pictures using external lighting.

My fiancé and I could use an excuse to get away and hone our craft!

I always wanted to go to GPP and London seams easier to travel to then UAE.

Cos I have tickets to see my favourite band that weekend but would gladly not attend to learn from these guys!!

Pretty pretty please with sugar on top. Bring them tickets already!!

The weather here in Mexico is too nice; I would rather learn from the masters in soggy but wonderful Londres.

I want to attend GPP so I can try my luck at snatching the pebble from anyone of their hands.

"Look, I'm not an intellectual - I just take pictures." - Helmut Newton

Aspiring photog like me wants to gain more knowledge, experience and exposure. And it's all of them - Joe, David, Zack and Gregory Heisler. My favorite photogs!

I feel like an adventure like this could help me get out of this "creative block" I'm in. I used to travel to different conventions and workshops, like WPPI, After Dark and PartnerCON, but now I just seem to be running in circles, and I desperately need some motivation to get back in the game!

... ... ...because there would be no better way to celebrate completing 5 gruelling months of chemo!

'cause I didn't win the trip to Dubai... and I love fish & chips.

Because if I pay to go there my wife will kill me :-)

I really want to go because I'm a photography teacher... and therefore- not only will I learn, but the lessons will be passed down 100 fold... It's a lot like ten fold, but with budget cuts.

Because they will be the Beatles of Photography and I will definitely throw my panties at them !

Honestly, because I'm doing my best to absorb as much knowledge as possible, as I'm still a student. And who better to learn from?

because it would be an amazing thing to do and cant afford to pay myself, and it would only take me an hour to get there!

I should attend because it would be a really really really awesome, beaming smile maker of a thing to happen to me. plus ..I will gladly send you a photo of me at the moment of finding out I have won!

I'm london based, taking my first steps to becoming a professional photographer so this would be the ideal introduction in the same month that I'm going to be launching my new website!

OMG, to meet with and hear from 4 of the most inspiring photographers in the world in real life would be awesome!

“Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.” (Kurt Vonnegut) Then again... there's so many reasons to go, apart from the fantastic 4, London and a chance to learn so much in 2 days....

Because i wear glasses like them :)

I would like to develop my photography to the next level.

My wife has never seen London and she is bugging me with this for some time now. She really wants to go. I visited London a few times so, we didn't go together so far. I would really love to meet Zack, Gregory, David and Joe and learn from them, while my wife does sightseeing. So pretty, pretty please help me learn from those masters and in the same time stop having a conversation about London anymore.

A WHOLE NEW WORLD!!! THAT'S WHERE POPUP GPP WILL BE!!! a place for meeeeeeeeee!!!!

I am an ambitious amateur photographer who would love to learn from the masters.

I put my photography career on hold this year after being
diagnosed with cancer, this marks 60 days of being out of treatment and
hopefully 2 weeks of being cancer free, what a way to get back into it.

I need an opportunity to sharpen my skills, refocus and learn from some legends.

Because I would like to suck a bit less, and this seems like a great way to achieve it!

so i can travel and learn !!

I want to attend because I've been looking for workshops around my area and can't seem to find anything worthwhile. I'd LOVE to go to GPP!

Me please! It's my birthday, I'm in London and I can't afford to go....

Because it's the weekend of my birthday, I'll already be in Southwark, and because, in the wordsw of David Hobby, "No offense, but I'm just here to see Heisler."

Because I can't afford it.

As I have just moved into London, what a way to start my new life and career in the capital with the inspiration and information that these 4 will provide! :)
