Amazon has listed a Neewer C-Stand with Boom Arm for just $29 and the question now is if Amazon made a pricing mistake. On other websites, it's currently selling for up 5 times more and on Amazon itself, another Neewer C-stand is listed at $139.99.
If it's a mistake, act quickly and you might get a great deal out of it! If its not a mistake and the product is in some way of lesser quality, would you still be satisfied with the purchase? Where is the line between budgetary restraints and quality sacrifices? Is a little saving now worth the possibility of having a deteriorating product or should aspiring artists tighten their belt when its for a quality product that will last them a while and contribute to better end results?
I personally wanted to get one to try it out just because of the price but due to shipping, it seems that only photographers in the USA would be benefiting from this.
Let me know if you snag one, your thoughts on it and let's hope it's not a box of bricks.

I saw this first in a private group PLC (Matthew Jordan Smith's lighting group on facebook) unfortunately Amazon isn't selling it here in Australia which really sucks.

Christ, I don't even need anymore C-Stands, but I tried to order 6. It would only let me order 5 due to a seller limit, so I order 4 ( odd number of stands bother me). I bet I can and will break them.

Yes, you'll find them plied in a corner when you see how heavy and bulky they are. These are copies of Calumets (probably another copy of junk). The tension in the spring loaded legs is insane. the set crews that hold the legs to the base loosen constantly. Don't bother. The ~$140 for matthews are worth their weight in gold.
how are the c-stands? did they fair well or they are a waste of money?

I just ordered one. Let's see how this goes. Amazon is saying it will ship in 2 - 5 weeks however, the savings would make it worth it since Neewer makes great products and the C-Stand has great reviews from other sellers.

Amazon has a good track record from what I know of honoring pricing mistakes, like that $500 off brand new Sony 16-35 GM lenses when they first came out.
I remember years ago they listed Mac Minis at $59 instead of $599. I ordered 12. They didn't honor it. :(. Didn't even email me to say they made a mistake, the orders just magically disappeared a few hours later and my credit card was never billed.
Hi Ryan, unfortunately for Europeans not Amazon EU S.a.r.L. If the price goes up after you bought the item it mysteriously becomes out of stock and never get restocked or delivered. Has happened me 4 time with Amazon EU. Oh and then your order get "canceled" by you, according to your orders page. Ahhhhhh.

Well the order I placed for quantity 4 on March 26 was supposed to be delivered today, May 1. I got an email from Amazon advising that there would be a delay with no specific shipping date indicated. So the wait continues...
Same. Pretty sure they'll just cancel the order in a month saying that they are still unavailable to get. My seller is listed as "Amazon.com Services, Inc." so you would think they'd just eat the mistake rather than take an interest free loan from me for 3 months.
