10 Photoshoot Ideas You Can Do at Home

As the economic slowdown continues, many of us may not have as much work as we'd like. Personally, I've had very few contracts come through the door in the last couple of months, and the worst thing about it as has been the lack of things to do.

Keeping busy has been pretty challenging through this time. In normal circumstances, I'd have the opportunity to travel and shoot different locations; which not only keeps me busy, but keeps my mind engaged and active. The lockdown has obviously prevented that. One of the things I've been doing more of is photographing things at home. It's mostly been product and food photography, however I have been improving my skills in this area by practicing and watching tutorials. The main issue I generally face is coming up with new concepts and ideas.

Karl Taylor recently uploaded a video where he discusses ten photoshoot ideas that you can try at home. These ideas cover a range of different kinds of photography genres, which is obviously useful. The great thing about the ideas presented in the video, is that most of them don't require the best and most expensive equipment. It can be surprising what you can achieve with just a little natural light if you can properly control it.

Check out the full video linked above and let me know if you have any ideas or photoshoots you've been trying at home.

Been enjoying doing home projects.. the latest one was shooting some fruit for my girlfriend so her kids have subjects to draw in lesson, she figured handing real fruit out wasn’t going to work in the current climate so photos are the next best thing.. also gave us chance to brush up on lighting and flash skills.
