Consumer drones have made remarkable strides in the last few years, and it is now possible to get professional image quality from affordable devices, opening entirely new perspectives and creative possibilities to photographers. If you are new to working with a drone, this great video tutorial will give you some helpful tips on settings and editing to get the best possible images.
Coming to you from Aaron Nace with Phlearn, this excellent video tutorial will give you some tips for setting your drone's camera and for editing the resulting images. Drones are a wonderful creative tool and a ton of fun to fly and experiment with. One thing that I learned is that you really need to adjust your creative eye with a drone as opposed to working with a normal camera. Landscapes that seem rather boring from the ground can be tremendously interesting from an aerial perspective. Beyond the normal shots, try pointing your drone's camera straight down and being on the lookout for interesting textures and patterns in the ground below. Even seemingly flat, featureless terrain can often yield compelling images from a different perspective. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Nace.
