'Moonline' Combines Glow in the Dark Skis and Drones for an Amazing Short Film

It's winter here in Cleveland. Snow is flying, and there's a space heater under my desk. But while I'm moaning about being cold incessantly, a group of filmmakers did something so neat and innovative that it inspired to me to go out and find my own creativity in that winter wonderland.

There are few things more peaceful to me than nighttime in the winter; there's a certain stillness coupled with the beauty that begets an almost meditative state. So, to see the talent of a professional skier on display as he slices through that landscape is a pretty neat juxtaposition. Couple it with some glow in the dark skis and some excellent drone flying, and you have this truly neat short film. The project focuses on Mathieu Bijasson, a professional skier and new father, as he reimagines how he night-skis in the context of his new life. I particularly appreciated that the film hits on multiple levels: showcasing athleticism, the abstract beauty of a beacon of light cutting through a winter landscape, and of course Bijasson's story. It's time for me to break out my drone and head out into the snowstorm.
